How to import Price List Promotions into BrokerForce®
The following describes how to format a Microsoft
Excel Worksheet to be imported as a promotional price list.
-
The
products that the promotions apply to must already be available on the
Products form in BrokerForce with the regular pricing shown for the
related items.
-
-
Either
manipulate the promotions worksheet that the vendor supplies to be the same
as the template or fill in the template download file in the exact column
sequence shown. The column headers are for clarity only and are not
required.
-
Data types
and column sequence are critical! If you hover your mouse of the red
triangle in the upper right of each cell in the header row of the example,
there are related comments for each column.
- In your
completed Excel sheet, highlight and copy <Ctrl-C> only the columns and rows
with the needed information.
-
On
the Products form in BrokerForce, go to the products of the vendor that
these promotions are to be applied to.
-
Double-click on the record handle (1/4" gray
square) at the left end of a <Promotion> just above the list of items. This
will open the "Promotions Edit" form for adding/editing promotions
-
Click on the first blank row in your list of
promotions. The entire row should be highlighted
-
Click <Edit>, <Paste> or <Ctrl-V> to paste the
promotions that you highlighted in step 5 above into the <Promotions> table
in BrokerForce. These will be added to your list of promotions and you
should be prompted regarding the pasting of the items you are pasting into
the program.
For additional
information, please see the "Promotions" help topic in BrokerForce.
