Two for One promotion

How do I manage a two for one promotion?

There are at least two ways:

1) When a product promotion is Two for One, it is in effect a half price promotion. Many states require that if a customer brings one item of a Two for One promotion to the cash register, the product must offer the single item at half price. Accordingly, these Quid pro Quo promotions can be entered as any other discount promotion on the Product form.

2) Add the line item to the order and enter the quantity for the goods that will be paid for. Add the line item a second time by selecting the item again and then modify the product name/description e.g. Widget --> Widget free. This second time, set the price to zero (0.00) for the free goods. You may want to modify the price list description to Free Goods.
